Though JPI is only turning 32, its President has been involved in the packaging world for over 40 years. With a Bachelor in Industrial Engineering and a Masters in Industrial Management, Steve has dedicated most of his adult life to the packaging community. His commitment is not only to his company, which he co-founded in 1985, but to the industry as a whole.

His name is synonymous with packaging expertise. As a member of multiple organizations including CIBS, and the NJPEC, he is constantly honing his craft, and keeping up to date within the packaging world. After graduating from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Steve was an early submission to the Johnson & Johnson management training program, where he moved on to become the Sr. Project Engineer for HRPI Pharmaceuticals, responsible for the Capital expenditure Programs, package redesign, and packaging line development. He moved on to become the Director of Manufacturing/Packaging for Warner Cosmetics where he was responsible for assembly, filling, packaging, and was a lead designer for the new packaging and filling facility.

Lastly, Steve took all the knowledge and experience he absorbed and in 1985 founded Just Packaging, a leader in the packaging community.

While JPI has been an integral part of his life for the past 30+ years, his family has grown from his small three children, Carrie, Evan and Jesse, now adults, married, and a 3rd generation on the way to keep this family business going. They say “behind every great man is a great woman”. Steve thanks his wife Ellen for her support throughout this journey and their 40 years together.

Though he "officially" joined JPI in 2004, Evan has been involved in the company since his early childhood. Like most young boys Evan enjoyed building things, and putting things together, but while most would throw them away after, Evan was obsessed with finding an alternative way to assemble, or as he put it an "easier way".

As he grew older, he took a liking to spending days at the company watching his father and team discuss new and innovative ways to assemble and package a wide variety of products. Evan spent nearly all his summer breaks and holidays cruising the warehouse and assembly lines amazed by the speed and efficiency of the packaging process. His father took notice and each year would train him, and place him in a different area of the company, knowledge that has helped groom him into the various positions he holds within the company today.

After graduating from Syracuse University, and a brief stint in the financial industry, Evan jumped full swing into Just Packaging, and hasn’t looked back since. Constantly looking for ways to improve, react, and grow within the company and the industry. Evan is a member of the Cosmetic Industry Buyers and Suppliers Group as well as an active member of the New Jersey Packaging Executives Club. If not at the office, you can find him in Scotch Plains, with his wife Meghan, sons Ben and Finn, and dog Charlie - all jr employees at JPI.

Claiming to have begun his JPI career at 9 months of age, Jesse has been keeping JPI busy since he was still in diapers. Every summer throughout high school and college, like his brother, Jesse worked in various departments from unloading trucks, to pushing a pencil with the company’s bookkeeper. Graduating from Syracuse in 2009, with a bachelors in both accounting and finance, he briefly worked in investment banking in NYC before returning to his roots at JPI.

Currently serving as the company’s controller, with oversight to our AR, AP, Payroll and Human Resource Departments, he claims to be the most integral part of JPI’s management team. “What I love most about working at JPI, is that I get to work closely to both, my father and Older wiser brother. We truly have learned to complement each other and have always worked diligently to maintain a reputable company, while keeping our employees as close knit as our own family is."
